The Call to Pursue

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
— Joshua 1:8 KJV

Heart and Mouth: A Divine Feedback Loop

This passage shows a powerful correlation between meditation and confession, between the heart and the mouth.
Scripture tells us that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, and that with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Faith begins in the heart but finds its expression through the mouth. Without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. Meditation fills the heart; confession releases what’s inside. The process brings transformation: “be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

The Change God Wants

Transformation here means a change from the inside out, not the outside in. God doesn’t ask for a whitewashed façade of goodness but for genuine renewal, a change of mindset, a redefinition of right and wrong according to His standard. True transformation re-aligns our definitions, our values, and our desires with God’s. It’s the difference between pretending to be light and actually becoming it.

We Are Programmable

God designed us to respond to programming, to input. The right programme produces the right output. We are the result of what we consistently hear, see, and believe. The information we absorb and accept determines the fruits we produce.

From the beginning, God programmed us for good, created for righteousness and good works which He pre-ordained for us to walk in. Sin corrupted that code, introducing a virus that only transformation can fix. The solution? Reprogramming through the Word.

Think on These Things

“Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” — Philippians 4:8 KJV

Our thought life determines our direction. Meditation is not passive; it’s intentional feeding of the mind with truth, goodness, and purity. When we meditate on God’s Word, we rewrite our internal code, resetting our thinking to God’s design.

From Meditation to Manifestation

Meditation is not just contemplation; it leads to doing. Joshua 1:8 says, “that thou mayest observe to do.” We think, so we can act; we act, so we can become. The Word renews our minds, enabling us to observe to do what God commands. The result is both prosperity and good success, not in worldly terms, but in divine alignment.

Why We Pursue

We pursue not to earn God’s favor, but to align with His truth. The pursuit is the honour; the journey of kings who seek to understand what God has hidden for their discovery.

“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” — Proverbs 25:2 KJV

Our pursuit is our honour.

It transforms us.

It rewires us for good works, fills us with purpose, and unveils more of Him in us.

Final Thought

Nourish your soul with what is just and good, and you’ll live out what is right. Feed your heart with truth, and your mouth will confess it. Meditate, and your life will transform from the inside out until your way becomes prosperous and your success, good success.

Discovery awaits on the other side of pursuit. Discovery of truth and abundance. May this inspire us to pursue and meet the Lord on the other side. May we find the peace that fills and satisfies, as we seek out His truths.

Faith indeed is the foundation of our pursuit for the truth and good relationship with God. May we never lack that. God bless you for sharing.
